First, please take a minute to honor and remember the events of September 11, 2001. Pray for the victims and the brave souls who were the first responders on the scene of that horrific event. God Bless them all, and God Bless America. We will never forget.
It is Thursday, here are this week's college and pro football picks. REMEMBER, gambling is prohibited at Bushwood, sir. This is for entertainment only.
Every week, I will always pick the nationally televised games, the Dolphin game, and at least 1 game at 1:00 pm and 1 game at 4:00 pm on Sunday. Usually, a total of seven games.
How did I do last week?
Went 7-1 against the spread, 8-0 overall, since I took the Broncos against the Colts, but they only won by seven points. That damn ½ point got me. I'll take 7-1 vs the spread and 8-0 overall anytime.
Winners highlighted.
(HOME TEAM IN CAPS):
SEATTLE (-4 ½) over Green Bay
MIAMI (+3 ½) over New England
PHILADELPHIA (-9) over Jacksonville
HOUSTON (-3) over Washington
San Francisco (-4 ½) over DALLAS
DENVER (-7 ½) over Indianapolis
MONDAY NIGHT
DETROIT (-5 ½)over New York Giants
San Diego +3 over ARIZONA
LAST SEASON, I FINISHED THE SEASON WITH A 61-51-7 RECORD AGAINST THE SPREAD, AND 72-47 OVERALL. That was last year, here is now.

HERE ARE MY NFL GAME SELECTIONS FOR THIS WEEK. My picks are highlighted :
Thursday
Steelers +3 @ Ravens
Tough to pick against the Ravens at home, but I will take the Steelers plus the 3 points. Too much stuff going on with the Ravens.
Sunday
Dolphins even @ the Bills
Close game, according to the oddsmakers in Las Vegas. I like what the Fins did last week, I look for them to carry that over to this Sunday in Buffalo. Taking the Dolphins even.
Patriots -3 @ Vikings
Do I really see the Pats losing two in a row to start off the season? No. Taking the Pats, minus the 3 points.
Saints -6 @ Browns
Ditto on the Saints. Taking New Orleans, minus the 6 points.
Jets @ Packers -6
The Jets aren't the Seattle Seahawks on offense, and Aaron Rodgers is better than the Jets' defense. Taking the Pack at home, minus the 6 points.
Monday Night
Eagles + 3 ½ @ Colts
After a very sluggish first half last week against the Jaguars, the Eagles snapped out of it and scored 34 unanswered points in the second half. The Colts made it close at the end against Denver last week. This could be the best game of the weekend. In a heart-tugging pick, I'm taking the Eagles plus the 3 ½ points.
Notice that my picks are 6 road teams. That's just how I roll.
