Make that seven losses in a row for the Marlins. Dan Uggla went 2-4 with a double and drove in three runs to lead the Braves to a 6-2 victory. Shoddy defense cost Marlins starter Jacob Turner, who gave up four runs, only two of them were earned. The Braves dominated the Fish this season, winning 14 of the 18 games they played. The Marlins will close out this very forgettable season with six games at Marlins Park, three this weekend against the Phillies, and three against the Mets. The pitching matchups for this weekend are: Mark Buehrle vs Cliff Lee tonight, Ricky Nolasco vs Roy Halladay on Saturday, Nathan Cole vs Cole Hamels on Sunday. Friday and Saturday game times are 7:00 pm, Sunday 1:10 pm.
The Braves remain four games behind the Washington Nationals in the NL East. The magic number for the Nats stands at 3. In the race for the wild card in the NL, St. Louis has a 3 game lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers and 4 games ahead of the Milwaukee Brewers. Over in the American League, the Detroit Tigers now lead the AL Central by two games over the Chicago White Sox. The Yankees lead the AL East by 1 game over the Orioles, and the Texas Rangers lead the Oakland A’s by 4 games in the west. The AL wild card standings show Baltimore ahead of Oakland by a game, the Angels and Tampa Bay are two games behind the A’s.
This weekend’s key series include the Red Sox in Baltimore against the Orioles; the Yankees visiting the Toronto Blue Jays, the Angels in Texas against the Rangers, Tampa taking on the White Sox in Chicago, Detroit at Minnesota, and Oakland hosts the Seattle Mariners. In the National league, the Mets are in Atlanta to take on the Braves, Washington travels to St. Louis to face the Cardinals, Milwaukee is home against the Astros, and the Dodgers host the Colorado Rockies.

El record en la liga nacional y las grandes ligas lo tiene Tom Seaver, que poncho a diez bateadores consecutivos en el año 1970.
Creanlo o no lo crean, el campo de entrenamiento de los Heat abre ya mañana sabado, y la temporada regular comienza el dia 30 de octubre, aqui en el AAA, contra los Boston Celtics. El tiempo vuela.
