Miami Heat vs the San Antonio Spurs in game 4 of their NBA Finals series.  All we need to know and talk about here is that the Spurs are up 2 games to 1, and Miami needs to tie the series up.  Period.  End of story.  The schedule for the rest of the series:

The Milwaukee Brewers won the rubber match of their three game series with the Marlins last night, pummeling the Fish 10-1.  Carlos Gomez went 4-5 with two triples and drove in three.  Jonathan Lucroy tripled with the bases loaded in the first inning and ended with 3 RBI.  Jean Segura connected long distance.  Kevin Slowey didn’t have it last night, giving up six runs on nine hits over five innings.  Giancarlo Stanton drove in the only run of the game.  The Marlins are off today, and will host the St. Louis Cardinals in a three-game series this weekend at Marlins Park.  Here are the expected pitching matchups for the series:

Angels 9 Orioles 5
Albert Pujols homered with a man on and Erick Aybar tripled with the bases loaded.  Hank Conger also connected long distance.

Red Sox 2 Rays 1
Daniel Nava blasted a two-run homer and Alfredo Aceves pitched well in an emergency start, going six innings and gave up only a homer to Evan Longoria and a total of four hits.

Royals 3 Tigers 2 (10 innings)
Lorenzo Cain tied the game with a two-run homer off Jose Valverde in the bottom of the ninth, and Eric Hosmer delivered the winning run in the tenth with a run-scoring single.

Twins 4 Phillies 3
Clete Thomas drove in the tying run with a double and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch.

Indians 5 Rangers 2
The Indians broke an eight-game losing streak.  Drew Stubb’s drove in two runs and Corey Kluber gave up a run and six hits in eight innings of work.

A’s 5 Yankees 2
Brandon Moss connected long distance twice and finished with three RBI, John Jaso knocked in a pair of runs.  The Yankees only managed three hits and lost for the third time in five games.

Astros 6 Mariners 1
Down 1-0 in the ninth, the Astros scored six times to beat the Mariners.  Chris Carter and Jose Altuve drove in two runs each.

The game between the Blue Jays and the White Sox in Chicago was postponed due to inclement weather.

Over in the National League,

Reds 2 Cubs 1
Todd Frazier homered in the seventh inning to give the Reds the win.  Mike Leake pitched eight innings, scattering three hits.  Aroldis Chapman pitched a perfect ninth inning to record his 17th save.

Padres 5 Braves 3
Chris Denorfia and Logan Forsythe drove in a pair of runs each and Edinson Volquez gave up only one run and six hits in seven innings, striking out nine.  

Pirates 12 Giants 8
Andrew McCutchen went 3-5 with three RBI and two runs scored, Neil Walker connected long distance and also drove in three runs.

Mets 5 Cardinals 1
Lucas Duda homered and drove in two runs.  David Wright and Marlon Byrd also went yard for the Metropolitans.  Dillon Gee gave up one run and six hits in 6 2/3 innings of work.

Nationals 5 Rockies 1
Ian Desmond drove in three runs and Ross Ohlendorf was called up from the minors and threw six solid innings, giving up only the one run and two hits.

D-Backs 8 Dodgers 6 (12 innings)
Martin Prado had a run-scoring double as part of a four-run outburst in the 12th inning. Cliff Pennington drove in a run and Gerardo Parra drove in two more to close out the inning.
