Back to work for the Miami Heat tonight, as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks here at the AAA.  Dwayne Wade expects to return to the lineup tonight, after missing three of the six games on the team’s recent road trip.   Tipoff tonight is at 7:30, and you can watch the game on Sun Sports on your cable or satellite system.  There are only two more games in the month of November for the Heat.  After tonight’s game, the team is off until Saturday night, when they welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers.  They are off again until Thursday the 29th when the San Antonio Spurs visit the AAA.  In the NBA yesterday,

TODAY’S TRIVIA QUESTION:  When was the last time the Miami Dolphins played on Thanksgiving day?  Who did they play, and what happened? Tell you later, alligator.

Around the major leagues, the Yankees retained starting pitcher Hiroki Kuroda, signing him to a one-year contract worth $15 million.  The Baltimore Orioles traded Miami-product Robert Andino to the Seattle Mariners for outfielder Trayvon Robinson.  The Kansas City Royals signed starting pitcher Jeremy Guthrie to a 3-year, $25 million contract.  The Toronto Blue Jays went the “deja vu” route, signing John Gibbons to be their manager.  Gibbons managed the Blue Jays from 2004-2008.  The San Diego Padres keep Bud Black as their manager through 2015, after excercising the 2014 and 2015 options in his contract.  Black has been in San Diego since replacing Bruce Bochy before the 2007 season.

In college football, both local universities close out their seasons this saturday.  The University of Miami Hurricanes will try to end 2012 with a victory at Duke against the Blue Devils at 12:30 pm.  Meanwhile, FIU closes out their season as they host UL-Monroe at the Cage.  Game time is 6:00 pm, and you can listen to the game broadcast (in English) on your smartphone or on the computer at www.fiusports.com.  I will be handling the play-by-play, and Pete Pelegrin will be handling the color analysis.

THE ANSWER TO TODAY’S TRIVIA QUESTION:  When was the last time the Miami Dolphins played on Thanksgiving Day?  Who did they play, and what happened?  We don’t have to go back too far, as the Fins played the Dallas Cowboys last year in Dallas.  Unfortunately, the Cowboys beat Miami 20-19, thanks to a Dan Bailey 28-yard field goal with 3 seconds left in the game.

Don’t miss my two “Descarga Deportiva” segments (for the Spanish-challenged, “Sports Jam Session”) every day, Monday through Friday, at 9:25 am and 12:15 pm on Radio Esperanza, 1550 AM or on the internet on www.miradioesperanza.com

The 9:25 am segment on Radio Esperanza is brought to you by the fine folks at La Lechonera Products.  The inventors of the original mojo criollo way back in 1970, also offer the BEST naranja agria (sour orange marinade) product on the market, along with the latest additions to the family - the SALSA PICANTE (hot sauces, both HOT and EXTRA HOT), SALSA DE ALITAS (Buffalo Wings Sauce) and the truly incredible SALSA PICANTE con AJO (Garlic Pepper Sauce - Sriracha).  Look for all the La Lechonera products at Publix, Winn Dixie, Sedano’s, Presidente, and GFS.  If they don’t have it where you shop, ask nicely the first time, then use whatever means necessary to make sure they start offering the complete line of products.  Go to www.lalechoneraproducts.com and LIKE them on Facebook.  Check out their recipe for PAVO CON MOJO (Thanksgiving Turkey with Mojo).
