I’M BACK!!
Let’s get it on!
The Marlins fell to the Dodgers yesterday. 6-4. Yasiel Puig homered in the eighth inning to break a 4-4 tie. Puig was benched yesterday and then added to the problem by arriving late to the game. No question that Puig is a terrific talent, but not the brightest light bulb on the Christmas tree. He really needs to tone it down and be a lot smarter, both on and off the field, if the Dodgers are going to reach the World Series. The Fish and the Dodgers return to the field at Marlins Park this evening at 7:10 pm. Nathan Eovaldi will try to bounce back from his last start and the Dodgers will send Zack Grienke to the hill. They will finish off their four-game series tomorrow at 12:40 pm. Henderson Alvarez will toe the rubber for the Fish, while LA counters with Cy Young award candidate Clayton Kershaw.
On Friday, the Marlins welcome the Colorado Rockies to South Florida. The scheduled pitchers for the series with the Rockies:
FRIDAY Yhoulis Chacin vs Tom Koehler 7:10 pm
SATURDAY Jeff Manship vs Jose Fernandez 7:10 pm
SUNDAY Jorge de la Rosa vs Jacob Turner 1:10 pm
The Fish are still at the bottom of the list in runs scored in MLB, with 406 runs in their 124 games, an underwhelming 3.27 runs per game. Here are the rest of the bottom-dwellers:
