The Marlins couldn’t keep it going yesterday against the Washington Nationals, losing 8-4. Bryce Harper homered twice for the Nationals before getting ejected in the ninth inning for slamming his helmet to the ground after grounding into a double play. For the Marlins, Donovan Solano keeps strengthening his hold on second base going 3-4. A day off today, and then the Fish welcome the New York Mets to Marlins Park. The Dolphins mercifully closed out their preseason schedule last night with a 30-13 loss in Dallas to the Cowboys. Nothing good to report from that event. To top it off, the team’s charter plane backed into another airplane on the tarmac and the team didn’t get back to Miami until around 8:30 this morning. All the NFL teams have until tomorrow at 9:00 pm to cut down to 53-man rosters. I’m still anticipating the Dolphins making some moves after tonight’s NFL games, and I fully expect no less than 8-10 new players joining the team before the regular season kicks off next sunday, September 9th, in Houston against the Houston Texans. tonight in Dallas against the Cowboys. The game starts at 8:30 pm and will be televised in South Florida on Channel 33. Big night for a lot of players on the bubble as they cut down to 53 on the roster. Don’t be surprised if as many as 8-10 players on that final 53 man roster to start the season are on other team’s rosters today. All NFL teams have to cut the rosters to 53 players by Friday at 9pm. Los Dolphins misericordiosamente cerraron la pretemporada anoche, cayendo ante los Dallas Cowboys por la anotacion de 30-13. No hay nada bueno que decir sobre este juego. Para ponerle la tapa al pomo, el avion del equipo tuvo un accidente al chocar con otro avion en la pista y no llegaron a Miami hasta casi las 8:30 de la mañana. Todos los equipos de la NFL tienen hasta mañana viernes a las 9:00 pm para cortar sus rosters a 53 jugadores.
